Prompt Global Launches New Zealand Customs Solution to Provide Cost-Effective Customs Functionality to Forwarders

The new solution eliminates manual tasks and provides total transparency across the customs clearance process regardless of the existing tech stack.

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand – September 17, 2024 – Prompt Global, a software provider
that builds solutions for supply chain orchestration, today announced the launch of its New
Zealand customs clearance solution for freight forwarders, 3PLs, and customs brokers. By
leveraging Prompt’s direct connection to New Zealand customs authorities, logistics services
providers can benefit from automated customs clearance with reduced errors and lower costs.

By building with interconnectivity in mind, Prompt aims to eliminate the barriers to entry that
often exist when looking for new solutions that answer specific problems. “Our approach has
always been platform agnostic,” said Robert Petti, Founder and CEO of Prompt. “Our solution
integrates with any Freight Management System (FMS), enabling integrated customs clearance
for New Zealand.”

The addition of customs clearance functionality for New Zealand is the continuation of a
customs compliance strategy on a global scale. Prompt already offers customs clearance in
some Central and Latin American countries, such as Mexico, Chile, and Argentina, and it is
used by some of the industry’s most respected global names, including Kerry Logistics, Delmar,
and Fracht.

“The benefits of automated customs clearance empowered by connectivity with FMS platforms
are multiple, including reduced costs, lead times, and errors for forwarders,” Petti adds. “They
don’t stop there, however, with the forwarders’ customers seeing greater transparency, more
timely updates, and overall improved experience.”

The New Zealand customs functionality will be presented to interested forwarders and 3PLs this
week and next, as Robert Petti attends the essential CBAFF event from September 18th to
20th, before touring Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney the following week.

Prompt intends to expand customs functionality globally, with Australia planned for a Q4 2024
launch. This will be followed by expanded customs compliance functionality and further
countries, offering real alternatives to forwarders looking to move away from legacy software.
